Tuesday Labs' Voxel Series-1 is a chore bot that sidesteps the uncanny creep

Tuesday Labs' Voxel Series-1 is a chore bot that sidesteps the uncanny creep by refusing to pretend it's human. It looks like a functional stack of modules on legs, which is exactly the point. Voxel waters plants, sweeps crumbs, and finds your lost keys, blending autonomous smarts with a human operator pulling strings from somewhere else. That teleoperation layer is the razor clam detail: it means the robot can handle tricky tasks today without needing perfect AI, and it also means Tuesday Labs is being honest about where autonomy ends. The $20K price tag will make you blink, but for early adopters who want a bipedal helper that doesn't try to smile at you, this is the weird, wonderful thing to watch. If you need more laundry-folding specifics, our piece on Voxel's legs digs deeper.
