Houston

Houston's O27 bends glass like taffy, and the math is showing

A grid of triangular glass panels follows O27's swelling, pinched silhouette, making the proposed Houston skyscraper look almost elastic. Designed by Austin-based STG Design for a site whose address I'd love to know, this thing bends glass like taffy, and the math is showing. That's the razor clam here: the facade isn't just decorative. Each triangle is calculated to track O27's curving, narrowing form, turning what could be a static glass box into something that ripples as it rises. It's early days, this is a proposal, not a construction site, but the ambition is already sharp. I want to know who it's for, what it costs, and whether Houston's skyline is ready for a building that looks like it's breathing.
