The Hiking Trick That Turns Retro Sneakers Into City Commuters

There's a dirty little secret hiding in the soles of your favorite retro sneakers, and it's borrowed from the hiking world. The result? Some of the most stylish urban commuters you'll find, without the clunky, overbuilt look that usually tags along with trail tech. We love a shoe that refuses to pick a lane, and this one pulls it off with a wink. If you're into footwear that quietly overdelivers, you'll want to circle back to how New Balance Sliced the Dad Shoe's Signature Look Clean Off, too. Stay spooty.
