New Balance's 991v2 Gets Colorways That Are Anything But Quiet

New Balance just looked at the 991v2, said "not loud enough," and fixed it. The new colorway pack is genuinely unsubtle, complex, layered, the kind of thing that makes you stop scrolling and zoom in on the mesh. This is not a shoe trying to disappear into your wardrobe. It wants to be noticed, and it earns that attention by refusing to rely on one obvious trick. The palette works because it's weird. If you've been watching the 574 is on sale and your old pair just got jealous, you already know New Balance plays this game well across the lineup. But the 991v2 pack feels different. It feels like the brand is having fun.
