Leica marries motorsport carbon fiber to a Q3 you'll want to touch

Leica has bolted a piece of Formula 1 chassis onto a Q3, and the result looks like it could survive a pit-lane collision. The special-edition camera swaps the usual leather for motorsport-grade carbon fiber, the kind that shaves grams off a race car and apparently looks just as good wrapped around a lens mount. It's a deliberate, tactile object, you want to run a finger along that weave. Leica and F1 have combined their expertise here, and the racing DNA is unmistakable. But what does it actually do that a standard Q3 doesn't? It takes the same pictures, probably. The appeal is in the feel, the story, the fact that it exists at all. It's a collector's piece, and Leica knows exactly who will pay for it.
