customizable shortcut buttons

The Super Mouse swaps buttons for a touchscreen you can't see

There's a touchscreen under your palm now, and you can't see it. Arctic Fox Technologies calls it the Super Mouse, and it replaces the usual scatter of shortcut buttons with a smooth surface that learns your gestures instead. It wants to be your trackpad, your macro pad, your streaming controller, even, if you thumb-type faster than you keyboard, a smartphone-sized stand-in for your full keyboard with swipe typing included. The boxy shape won't win ergonomics awards, but that's not the point. The point is consolidation: one peripheral that does the work of several, assuming the invisible touchscreen actually delivers. It's on Kickstarter now. Preorder with the usual crowdfunding caveats, we've watched too many campaigns stall to pretend otherwise.
