Fiat's Multiplay concept swaps its back seat for a flatbed when you need it

Fiat's Multiplay concept is the family car that looks at a minivan and says, "but what if it had a flatbed?" The rear seats fold away to turn the cabin into a pickup-style load bed, which is the kind of clever hinge-and-materials thinking that gets us genuinely feral. One car for school runs and IKEA runs? That's not a compromise, that's a loophole. It arrives ahead of the 2026 Paris Motor Show, so it's still a concept, and concepts have a habit of vanishing. But the idea is sharp enough to stick: fewer vehicles, more options, no separate truck to insure. If you're already dreaming of hauling mulch in something that fits the driveway, you'll want to circle back to our folding tiny home piece too. Spooty.
