Sicily first week of November
Hi everyone,
My partner and I are thinking about traveling to Sicily during the first week of November, and I’d love to get some insight from people who have been there around that time.
We’re specifically looking for a more peaceful and quiet experience, with fewer crowds, a slower pace, and a chance to really take in the scenery, food, and local culture without the peak-season rush. Sicily seems perfect for that, but I’m curious what it’s actually like in early November.
What is the weather typically like? Is it still pleasant enough for exploring and maybe spending time by the coast? Are most restaurants, attractions, and small towns still open, or does a lot shut down after October? How easy is it to get around that time of year, especially comparing public transport and renting a car? Are there any areas you would recommend for a quieter vibe?
I would also really appreciate hearing about the cons of going at that time. I know off-season travel comes with trade-offs, so I’d love to go in with realistic expectations, whether that’s weather, reduced ferry schedules, fewer open places, or anything else.
Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you can share!
