Overnight Blowout vs affordable rods

I’m looking into buying heatless curling “tools”, and I came across Overnight Blowout which seems to have really nice bouncy results. However I also see a lot of people saying cheap ones from Amazon work just as good, but none of these commenters seem to have actually tried both.

I’m curious whether the Overnight Blowout ones are actually easier to use, hold hair better/neater, last longer or get better curl results. Because if there is a difference I’m willing to just splurge.

I’ve had a cheap heatless curling rod before, it works and lasts fine for my hair, but it was one you put on your head and then wrap hair around it on the sides of your head vertically.

Has anyone used both cheaper ones and these and seen a difference in anything?
