Is it safe to travel to countries in Latin America alone as a female?

For context, I am from East Asia and have travelled to multiple countries alone so far. However, they are all developed ones and I have not been to any country in Latin America. I have done some research and social media posts I’ve found advise female solo travelers to only visit a limited number of countries and regions which include Costa Rica, Panama, Uruguay, and some Caribbean islands. Are the rest countries generally unsafe for female solo travelers?
