My mom is taking me to small claims for an outstanding debt that is hers, am I responsible?

Location: Orange County, NY.

To keep everything short and brief, my mother opened a spectrum mobile account in her name to get us phones. After a couple of months, she made me an authorized user so I could pay the bill while she fucks off smoking dope.

Almost a year goes by, her phone is paid off and mine isn’t due to the model I got. She then wanted to take her phone to a new plan. Ok great, I ask her to take her phone off and transfer the Spectrum account to my name so I can keep paying on mine. She tells me no and that the account is hers. She then proceeds to cut off the service to both phones.

With service being disconnected Spectrum wants the remaining amount due for my phone. My mom is taking me to court to make me pay $3,000 when there was only $1,100 remaining.

TL,DR: My mom is the owner of a delinquent cell phone bill that she made me an authorized user of to make payments. Now that she cut off service and refused to make the accmount mine, she is demanding that I pay the outstanding balance. Am I responsible for her bill?
