Excel - getting data from azure sql

Hi there. We are moving from on premise sql server to azure sql.

We use excel to data mine from our on premise, data loads are nice and quick.

When we did our first test to data mine on azure sql, we find that it’s taking close to 30 seconds to load 300 lines of data, approx 30 columns.

Our internet pipe is 1.5gb symmetrical.

Just curious if this is normal timeframe.
