Does anyone else struggle to find genuinely sustainable workwear?

This might just be me, but whenever sustainable fashion comes up, it’s almost always about casual clothes or weekend outfits. Office wear seems to be missing from the conversation, even though a lot of people spend most of their week in it.

Lately I’ve been paying more attention to what I buy for work, and it’s honestly frustrating. A lot of formal wear feels disposable, fabric that doesn’t hold up, fits that get uncomfortable by midday, or styles that feel dated within months.

I recently came across a workwear brand called Priklaer, and what stood out wasn’t trends but how intentionally basic everything was. Neutral colours, simple cuts, pieces that could work in different settings. It made me realise that sustainability in workwear might just mean buying fewer, better things that actually get worn again and again.

Since then, I’ve been trying to think less about “new outfits” and more about whether something will still make sense in my wardrobe a year from now.

Curious how others here approach this:

Do you actively look for sustainable options when buying office clothes, or does it mostly come down to comfort and practicality? Can you suggest me any other brand than Priklaer where I can find sustainable workwear options for myself?

What makes a workwear piece last for you?
