Has secondhand shopping changed how you think about sustainability?

I’ve been trying to be more intentional about how I buy clothes, especially after learning more about overproduction and textile waste. Thrifting locally helped a lot, but I’ve also started exploring online secondhand spaces where items actually get a second life instead of sitting in landfills.

Recently I’ve watched a few live secondhand sales on whatnot, mostly people reselling vintage or gently used pieces and talking openly about condition, materials, and fit. Seeing items reused in real time feels very aligned with slow fashion values, and it’s made me pause before buying anything new.

I’m curious how others here approach secondhand shopping today. Do you stick to local thrifts only, or do online resale platforms play a role in your sustainable fashion habits too?
